Because the Vermont Reggae Festival is a family event, everyone's safety is of major concern. For this reason, and at the request of the town and state, organizers ask that you bring no alcohol, weapons,
nitrous-oxide, styrofoam, glass bottles, pets or bad vibes onto the festival site. The artists have requested that no video or audio taping take place. Organizers will ask to check your coolers for alcohol before
you are allowed entry to the festival campground or parking lot.
If you've never been to the Festival, here's the story, in brief. The Committee for Vermont Reggae Festival is a non-profit organization supported entirely by the
efforts of community volunteers. None of the planning staff gets paid. In years when revenues exceed festival costs, the excess is donated to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless and provide assistance to children.
The Committee for Vermont Reggae Festival’s mission is to promote reggae music's message of love, non-violence, respect for the earth and our place on
it, and a concern for others through music, education and community empowerment.Their goal is to provide a public forum in which to explore and enjoy world culture, freedom of expression, diversity and equality.
