More than two weeks to go. Ten days ago everything was so green i feared a year when it all starts too late and then falls off before it gets good. This is looking instead like a prolonged very good year.

Many many cars were pulled over on 100 just south of ludlow, where there is a pond that looks like a man made reservoir. The color there was really magnificent, as if someone dumped out packages of life saver candies all over the hills. People were wandering around almost speechless.

Wow. Love the description of the life saver candies. Reminds me of my travels today. Stopped at a swamp with reds, oranges and golds at the edge of a small, windy road (not safe at all .... ) in the NW CT hills and then all of a sudden three cars pulled up behind me. Mind boggling colors. Mother Nature at her best. Just lovin' this season and weather! :D
