I'm still trying to figure out my new Nikkon s9100. I should probably read the manuel, but where's the adventure in that ?

Nice pics, awesome color. Don't give in Phil. Don't read the directions. Us men NEVER read directions. We all need to stick together on this one!

I always just assume that the manual is thrown in either because of government requirements or as additional padding. It never occurs to me to read it, unless I have a specific issue, and even then I am more likely to just use Google...

I hear ya. It's faster to google it anyways than sort through the 50 languages for the english section, find what you need, it doesn't work so you end up on the internet anyways!

Awesome shots! I'm still kind of surprised at how much green I see up there still.

Not to hijack your photo thread, but I did seem to retrace your NH trip today. Sure, I blamed the the kid for wanting pancakes at Polly's  but I struck out for Sugar Hill, the Kanc and Bear Notch road hoping to see better color than the NEK has right now. NH has flashes of better color - Franconia and Sugar Hill were brilliant. I think the scenic views from the Kanc and Bear Notch road are already waning. Crawford Notch and Bretton Woods had better color, although I was a little late getting there and wasnt much light left. I am going to spend a little more time tomorrow around Barton, Irasburg, Lydonville - see if I can get to Jobs Pond bright and early since it is going to be a clear and sunny morning for the first time since I got to the NEK.

I see my little white horsie is still there. The best color in the NEK is northeast of Barton.
