I just returned from a 7 day "whirlwind" trip to Japan and Back. Unfortunately, we spend 2 full days flying, so that makes 5. of the 5, 2 were consumed by a wedding we attended. Down to 3. We spent them in Kyoto. Worth it.

I carried only my newest "toy," a P&S sized Sony RX100iv. The only thing besides its very small size that even resembles a P&S is its smallish 1" sensor (smaller than the APS in most DSLRs and certainly smaller than the FF in my "primary" camera). Aside from that, this is no mere P&S.

I am working on post-processing right now. I have not uploaded to my website yet, but hope to, soon. In the meantime, here are 2 images from our trip - one made in Tokyo, the other in Kyoto:
