Ludlow area after Columbus Day
For this year's Vermont vacation we splurged and reserved a rental house so the baby can have her own room. (Hubby snores something fierce.) We're going to be in Ludlow the 9th - 12th. Any foliage predictors for that area now that the time is drawing near?
Thanks for all of the fun family activity and restaurant ideas you all gave me in previous posts!

Re: Ludlow area after Columbus Day
That is a good area to be in at that time. Your first trip should be route 100 south. That will be peaking and the foliage might not be good later. The long loop would be route 100 south to route 9 east, route 9 east to I-91 north in Brattleboro. Take I-91 north to exit 6 and then route 103 back to Ludlow. The short loop would be route 100 south to Londonderry and route 11 east to route 103 in Chester, and route 103 to Ludlow. It depends on "baby". To get to the Woodstock/Quechee area, take route 103 east to route 131 east. Drive route 131 east to route 106 north and turn left. Route 106 north takes you to Woodstock. To get back to Ludlow take route US 4 west to route 100a and drive route 100a to the end on route 100 and turn left. This takes you to route 103 just west of Ludlow.

Thanks for the suggestions PWT. 'Baby' is 18 months old and fairly good in the car. She does get carsick once in awhile, but heck, I would too if I was riding rear-facing going 55 MPH on a windy road. As long as we have time to take it slow and pack her lots of toys she should be fine. She'll just be happy to get out and run around in the leaves every once in awhile!
