PWT 54's last update.

I wandered around northwest Vermont again today. The foliage is falling fast up there. Last Monday I reported that the area north of route 15 and west of route 108 was good. Today I have to change that to north of route 36 and west of route 108. Route 78 from Swanton east to Sheldon Junction had some real "firecrackers" on it as did route 120 and route 108 north of enosburg Falls. But this weekend will be "it" up north. Head for southern Vermont after this weekend. It has been a real challenge predicting foliage this year. It only proves my suspicion that Vermont hates a "know it all". I'll will still be checking the forums daily.

I guess I'll try route 78 tomorrow.

I was also thinking of also trying route 7 from Burlington to Middlebury, then 116 North through Lincoln, and maybe the Lincoln Gap Road, and back to Montreal after dinner at the Squirrel's Nest, in Bristol.

What do you think?

Thanks

Pierre

Is the Squirrel's Nest still open? Their phone line seems to have been disconnected. That's too bad, as I really liked this small and inexpensive family restaurant, where everybody (except me) seemed to know everybody.

Any other recommendations between Bristol and Burlington?

Thanks.

Pierre

I didn't take many this year. Most of those were family type photos. I was hoping for good weather to "break in" my new Panasonic 30 camera.
