Thanks Jonie for sharing your pics with those of us who couldn't be there. I wanted to go so bad but maybe next year! My favorite picture was the one with the covered bridge. Do you remember which bridge that is?

Good photos. What is the camera? There was another covered bridge just up the road on the Chamberlain Road.

I figured it was a Canon from the index number. That is a good camera. I have an sd500 elf and a S1-IS. The elf takes a better photo, but the 10x zoom is handy for wildlife. Both take very good VGA digital video clips with sound.

SD500 must be much better coz a friend of mine has SD400 and the pics he took were amazing....Well, in Canon A85 there is a mode called "foliage" in SCN mode, and I used that for taking the pics....that must be the reason why the pics are so appealing...!

Those who use this particular camera wil be better off if u carry a tripod along with u as u can avoid camera shake , the probability of which is more when u use this mode.

The SD 500 is 1 megapixel more than the SD 400. I've used the foliage mode a few times. Under the right circumstances I use the underwater mode for foliage. It brings out the colors but blows out the sky. I use a monopod with the SD 500. I stick in my belt over my left hip. It's fairly steady and very maneuverable. I'll give a real workout when I visit the snow geese next weekend.
