Foilage outlook for Grafton Area Oct 17-20?

We're hoping to visit the Grafton area next week (17th to 20th)--any insight on the amount of color that might be available then? Also, do the rains seem to be stripping a large percentage of leaves off?

(First time visitors from Texas on a 25th anniversary trip to your beautiful area!)

We appreciate any pointers/help...

That should be a good area for that date. But it has been a strange year. East Central Vermont still looks early right now.

The area around Grafton should still be ok next weekend, baring any major storms. It wasn't at peak when I drove through Saturday.

The rain didn't strip the trees, although the leaf drop is accelerating.

I was in Grafton this past weekend and the leaves are slow in turning so it shold be better by the time you get there.
