Vermont relaxes Covid-19 restrictions for inns short term rentals and outdoor dining.

Inns, bed and breakfasts, campgrounds and other short term rentals will be able to accept overnight reservations for anyone who can meet a 14-day self quarantine requirement effective May22nd. This includes people from out of state. If you meet the requirement, you will be required to fill out a questionaire. Innkeepers and bed and breakfast owners will have to keep their capacitiy to 25% or less, ensure that no more than 10 people are gathered together at one time and keep a log for 30 days on who their guests are and where they came from. These regulations were announced today, May 18th, by Lindsay Kurrie, the Secretary of the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development at a news conference in Montpelier. It was also annouced that if the Covid-19 infection rate stays low, outdoor dining, and other close-contact businesses like salons, could be open by June 1. Facemasks are not mandatory yet in Vermont but are strongly encouraged.
