Your best bet at that time would probably be somewhere in northern Rhode Island. Later in the week maybe Providence or Newport. Someplace in southern MA may still be good at that time. But I've not been southern MA in the fall, so I can't say. Was planning a trip to RI last year and I was looking at the first week of Nov. for Providence. I ended up not going because the foliage season was so bad last year.

Those dates are way too late for foliage in the Southern Berkshires. By late October, full fall foliage will only be found along coastline areas from Boston on down to coastal Connecticut. You might want to start further south, maybe the NYC area, Philadelphia, or Baltimore/Washington. You might find good foliage color in the Apalachians.

This time frame is normally peak for thh Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee and North Carolina. A wonderful location to view foliage.
