Hi everyone: returned late afternoon after another long day trip to the great state of Vermont. This time we stopped at the Vermont Country Store and I behaved shopping wise as I know I have my 11 day trip coming this week! Love that store! I only came out with a bag of chips! A miracle! Anyways, stopped at all the craft booths at the Chester Fall Foliage Festival and I came out empty handed once again. Just not my shopping day I suppose!
Well, as far as color. There was none as I expected. Looked like the Endless Summer in the Chester/Grafton area with just a slight tinge of color. I think we have more change here in CT! But that is to be expected so far south. There were a few flares and some totally turned trees but you would have to seek them out.
I had a wonderful day and it was another Top Ten scrumptious weather day up there. Everyone having fun and enjoying the beginning of the season as it was in the 60's there. We took route 35 back into Grafton and then 121 to 91. A nice drive for sure!
I was sort of glad this was my last day trip for awhile! These 8 and 10 hour days are very tiring! And I wasn't even driving.........

I was down to the Tunbridge Fair Sunday. The colors were not as far along as usual, but they are changing. I don't think we are that far behind in foliage change.

I'm beginning to get a bit concerned...gonna be in VT Oct 3-7 and it sounds like color won't be anywhere near peak.
