FALL FOLIAGE REPORT
Welcome to the final fall foliage report of 2014. With warm, sunny days and brilliant color, we’ve had a spectacular season. At this point, much of the state is considered past peak, but there are still a few pockets of color to discover in the southern reaches of the Connecticut River Valley. Look for the last reds and golds on Route 9 near Brattleboro, and Route 5 near Guilford.
Beyond leaf peeping, there are plenty of ways to enjoy Vermont’s mountains, meadows and villages. Late October sees the emergence of pumpkin people on street corners, porches, and country lanes. Upcoming events include a murder mystery weekend in Montgomery October 24 through 26, and several spooky celebrations October 30 and 31.

BEST BETS (NORTH TO SOUTH):
- Route 9 near Brattleboro.
- Route 5 near Guilford.
