This coming weekend Oct 4&5 in NEK

Well, here I am asking some advice from y'all. I will be in the NEK this coming weekend, first time in foliage season and I wanted to ask if there are any must see sights. I will be around the Island Pond area. I will not be doing the driving so I won't be able to control the agenda (kind of a problem for a type A personality like me) but wanted to check with the experts. All input welcome.
