Day trips for fall colors around Burlington - Oct 1 - 4

Hi,

I'm planning to visit family in Burlington from Oct 1 - 4. What state of fall colors can I expect in Burlington in this time frame?

If areas in and around Burlington would not have peaked in this time frame, what areas would you recommend for best/better colors?

Could you please suggest routes such that I can come back to Burlington at the end of the day? I'm travelling with my wife and 2 kids (under 4) and would like to get back and stay with family at the end of the day.

Thanks for maintaining this website! It's a great forum for information!!

Sam

There ain't much I can add to that except that the Jimmapco Atlas is easier to read. And don't forget the Teddy bear Factory just south of Burlington on route US 7 for the kids.

Thanks for the details. I'll print it up and take it with me. And I'll make sure that I pick up the maps as well.
