Hi,
I am planning on being in the Ludlow area on 10/7.Do you think I should find good color then? Can you suggest some beautiful driving routes. My wife & I don't often get a chance to come to Vt. so we want to try to maximize the few days we have.We drove to Peacham the last time we were here & it was breathtaking.Thank you so much.

Don't forget to stop at the Green Mountain Sugarhouse for a maple creemee, great Vermont gifts of every kind and fantastic owners! Love that place! :D

It would take a small book to list all of the great rides down there. Two of my favorite roads are just west of Ludlow. They are routes 133 and 140. I rate these road as quaint. They are paved country roads.
Take route 103 west from Ludlow until you see route 140 to Wallingford on the left. Drive route 140 though Wallingford to route 133 in Middletown Springs. Turn left and drive route 133 to the village and turn left to continue route 133 south to route 30. At route 30 turn left and drive route 30 through Manchester and continue east until you get to route 11 on top of the mountain. Here route 30 goes to the right and route 11 goes straight ahead. Here you have a choice. Turn right and continue route 30 to route 100 and turn left on route 100 north and drive that back to Ludlow. OR go straight ahead on route 11 to route 100 north in Londonderry and turn left on route 100 to get to Ludlow. My favorite ride is route 11 because of the views from the Bromley Ski Area. Eateries are a little scarce on the first part of this ride.
