Beautiful! Can we find this truck with the pumpkins tomorrow and what is the name of the lake under that photo? See you soon!
Re: October 2nd Color Finds
I'd like to go to that Pond tomorrow. Thought that truck was in Killington!

Looooooooooove the truck! Is VT Country Store worth the trip? Or is it more of a tourist trap? I think it may be going just for that truck!

Both! I think well worth the trip, a very fun store to visit and the Bryant House restaurant is next door. The truck is there full of bounty every year, aways a great photo.

The VT Country Store is touristy, but even we native Vermonters love to stop in. If you are going to Weston, and you should, then stop in for look.

Ziggy, I shall vote for it being absolutely worth the trip and being a total tourist trap!ziggy_423 wrote:Looooooooooove the truck! Is VT Country Store worth the trip? Or is it more of a tourist trap? I think it may be going just for that truck!
This time of year they will have their pumpkin pie fudge with is worth a visit by itself.
Across the street is a little seasonal store that sells buildings for those collectible villages and other decorative items. They usually have these gold or silver leaves that we really like. Not sure of the process but you basically end up with the "skeleton" (hate to use that term but only one I can think of) of the leaf but made of a very fine silver or gold with "Vermont" and the year at the bottom. Not very expensive but a nice addition as an ornament and keepsake.

More really good stuff, mmvt. Is the last one Athens Pond? Looks alot like an image I made there in 2010 (but better color on this one)
