Hello foliage forum viewers:
I wanted to share this link with those of you who have not yet been wowed by the drive up the toll road to Mt. Equinox. A few years ago for our Scenes of Vermont summer meetup, a group of us drove Skyline Drive for what was one of the most exhilirating experiences I have ever had in the great state of Vermont! Magnificent views abound, breathtaking vistas and an overlook of Manchester Village that is unreal!
The link includes all the information you need about the dates/times they are open, toll road fee, etc.
More exciting this year is the fact that they are building a new viewing station and in this link below, they "hope" to be open by end summer! This is perfect timing for all of us foliage fanatics who love the long views and seemingly endless cascades of layered mountain ranges in all directions.

The drive up and down is not for the faint of heart. I was holding on for dear life as Phil negotiated the turns and switchbacks but I'm sure he added the scare factor in just for me!
This year, foliage season 2012, Charles (ixl) and I are spending the day in the area and we are driving the toll road! Of course he is driving his new Outback and I expect I will still be holding on for dear life once again!
Hope you enjoy the site and please plan on driving up Mt. Equinox for an excursion you will never forget!!!!!
