Thanks for the report minnesotaman. Things may be a little better since Friday with the past couple of cold nights, but that still sounds early. This may be a challenging year given the last September heat messing things up.

I plan to begin my 6 trip tomorrow 10/2/17 by leaving my home in Massachusetts at 4:00 am and hoping to get in some nice pond/fog/reflection photography at and after sunrise (I'm crazy, In know). The full moon is on October 5th. Note that on 10/5 the moon rises at 6:44 pm and sunset is 6:23 pm.

But on October 4th the nearly full moon rises at 6:13 pm and sunset is 6:24 pm. That night would also be good for viewing and photographing the moon with a little more light available.

I was planning a trip to Nicholls Ledge, I have to keep that in mind.
