I know there are too many to list but I have to add that Common Rd. in Waitsfield is my all time favorite from beginning to end. It's amazing. I felt like I couldn't breathe the first time I took in the views last year.

Picked one up when I was staying in Waitsfield last year and found it very helpful.

I’m seeing lots of my favorites on here already: Farmer’s Diner, Good Times Café, Sugar and Spice, and Singletons. And some I’ve been meaning to try…especially Common Man. We also love: The Green Cup in Waitsfield The Farmer’s Market in Waitsfield (there’s always something yummy to eat there) Flatbr...

Unfortunately I don't have lots of tips for you on the area. We tend to eat in a lot with a little one in tow and because we rent a house. We always try to hit the chicken pie supper in Waterbury...I want to say it's the United Community Church maybe? Yum! Love the Green Cup in Waitsifeld and always...

Reserved our house for October. Can't wait!!

I am so excited and figured this would be the perfect place to share. For two of our October Vermont trips we were able to stay in a beautiful rental home in Waterbury that was just perfect. Then last year the owner was using it himself and said he would be this year as well so we had been pretty di...

Can't imagine we won't be there over Columbus Day weekend...just not sure if it will begin or end the trip yet!

And yes, I emailed the owner right away and I'm just waiting to find out how to secure the house for next year. :)

That's right...Carol is Abby, not you. I get confused. LOL Doesn't help that my daughter's name is Abby as well!

First year we made the trip with our daughter (2006) I got a creamee at Green Mountain (we stayed in Ludlow that year). Last year we got one at Bragg...I agree not as good as Green Mountain. This year I think we'll try Morse...we'll see!

It is DEFINITELY the Big Picture Cafe. I have never gone into the baked beads sale but it always swamps the parking lot there and makes the restaurant super-crowded. Last year we waited forever for a table...this year we only stopped in for the maple donuts over the weekend. Kept meaning to go for l...

We found a beautiful old, restored farmhouse on Tucker Hill Rd...think it's technically in Warren rather than Waitsfield but only about 1/2 mi. further from town than we're staying this year. I emailed a bunch of property owners this week to ask if we could check out the houses while we're here (not...

Oh no, I forgot all about the syrup. We generally avoid the cider mill because it's always mobbed and we have a great cider mill about 10 minutes from us at home with one of the old wooden presses that you can watch and fabulous cider donuts. They press concord grape juice too. Yum, yum. We were goi...

Big Picture Cafe...that's where you got the maple donuts I'm guessing. They are on Rt. 100, same side as the Farmer's Market but further north. They have an all around great menu but the donuts are fun to just stop in and grab. Waitsfield is without a doubt my favorite town. We are seriously conside...

We drove from Waitsfield to Waterbury today (Ben & Jerry's - yum!) and were surprised at the amount of color still around route 100. It was a very pretty drive, even through the drizzle and mist.

Thanks for the recommendation CT. We were trying hard to secure a babysitter for one night so we could have an adult night out at to dinner at The Common Man but we were unsuccessful. I'm sure they would be nice and accommodating with Abigail but at some point you just decide it's not worth it to sp...
