PWT: thank you for posting the snow geese link from 2003 (also a great foliage year). I put it on slideshow and the photos were amazing! I hope everyone can make a detour to see the geese in all their glory. I especially liked the ones of the geese in flight and formation. Nature's "Field of Dreams"...

PWT: Thank you very much for your reply. As I will be in Vermont a glorious nine days this autumn, I will have an opportunity to check the area out twice. The food recommendations are always a bonus!

If anyone has any pictures to upload of the snow geese I would love to see them!

PWT : right you are! Just rechecked the ol' map! I only remember going from Middlebury to Brandon on the way home last fall. In any case, further north actually works a whole lot better for us in regards to foliage timing. Will await your posts in the coming months for some great ideas on the...

Abby: this is excellent! You should be a NEK reporter! The Newport restaurant descriptions are right up our alley, and I'm especially interested in the Cow Palace and The Pick and Shovel. These two sound very intriquing! I'm going to print this post so I don't have to worry about finding eating plac...

In 2003 we traveled most of the NEK but this fall, on trip two, we are setting out to areas uncovered: Newport, Derby, and Morgan. Do you or anyone have some nice routes/eating establishment...
