Great Shots! Thanks for posting this update. I was thinking of heading through that area Friday.

Re: NEK Today

This stream is on a small dead-end road towards the end (on the left) of Lost Nation Road. Lost Nation Road is off of Route 114. All the rain really had it flowing nice today.

Re: NEK Today

I got off 91 in Lyndonville and headed up Darling Hill, Maple Ridge, and down to 114, up to Island Pond, headed out 105 towards Moose Bog. I was going to hike out to that, but it was pouring rain. I headed out toward Barton, and then down 5 until I hit Underpass Rd and took that up to Sutton, and th...

NEK Today

Hit the NEK again today. Early light was great and I was hoping for a great day of photography. That quickly changed as the rain and fog came and just never seemed to let up. The color was fantastic though. It was a nice drive even though I didn't get the camera out much. Did manage a few stream sho...

Re: 9/28 Rt 302 photos

Greatg shots! I especially love the waterfall and the last one looking up through the trees. I was out hunting early this morning and took a quick ride up through the state forest. Colors are coming along great. The are always so vibrant on wet days! You should see that waterfall in your picture tod...

Re: Sunrise in the Kingdom

No pics of the Moose. By the time my heart rate fell, and I thought about getting the camera, she was back in the woods.

I think you will be hitting the Overlook just right for color. Have Fun.

Sunrise in the Kingdom

Got up very early this morning to head to the Northeast Kingdom. Wanted to be at Lewis Pond Overlook for sunrise, and then explore from there. I was a bit disappointed in the color. I was hoping it would be closer to peak. There were a few patches of vibrant color, but overall I thought it was a bit...

Re: Where to take full moon pic

While I am not familiar with that area, I also prefer moonrise (sunset), or moonset (just before sunrise). I have happened upon some nice moonset shots while waiting for sunrise. While you will need a tripod, make sure not to take "too long" of an exposure. While it seems like the moon is just sitti...

I haven't even watched the last few games. I just check the score every now and then. I took the lunar eclipse shots between innings during the last game of the 2004 World Series.

Ah, Come on, where's the faith! They just took the lead in the 7th against the Yanks! If they can pull this one out, they still have a one game lead for the wild card. :D

Re: Couple Shots from Today (9/24)

Yeah, I can remember when you could see the entire church from that overlook. It's actually a little better this year. Someone put a mobile home in just below and cleared a bunch of the trees out. I'll probably head up to the NEK on Friday.

Couple Shots from Today (9/24)

First day of Grouse season had me and my dog out in the wet woods of the Butterfield Mountain section of Groton State Forest this morning. Had to throw my camera in the car for the ride home. I was impressed with the color from Orange to Groton along 302. Seems about a week early to me, but I think ...

I hit that road today when I left Peacham. The color wasn't bad, but I have seen it better. The hillsides off the left side of the road were pretty good. But next Friday is a long way off when foliage is concerned! Hopefully someone can give you a more current update later in the week.
