Re: OMG OMG OMG Hazen's Notch & Route 58 to Lowell!!!!!

Thank you CTYanky! Followed your advice and hit up Hazen's Notch and Rt 58 after spending the night at Noyes Pond. Great color. Will have pix whenever I can take a sec to work on them. So for only worked on a Milky Way shot which most will frown on as there is no color in it

Thank you MinnesotaMan and awesome pic (wish it was bigger)!

Decided to head out after work tomorrow, stay the night and try to hit the pond at dawn Wednesday.

Re: Any updates on Seyon Pond or view from Owl's Head Lookou

Thanks again and special thanks to minnesotaman for the personal scouting report - really appreciate it. I have Sunday all day for a drive or Tuesday afternoon with possible stay into Wednesday. Skies look more promising for Tues/Wed. Will be stalking the forums in the meantime...

Re: Any updates on Seyon Pond or view from Owl's Head Lookou

Thanks everyone. This season seems to be coming on fast and early (local color popping on North Shore of MA in pockets) so was wondering about timing. I am off work on Wednesdays so was planning to hit both on Oct 2nd. I recall that you cannot get up to Owl's head very early because of the gate so w...

Any updates on Seyon Pond or view from Owl's Head Lookout?

Just checking in to see if anyone has been by these two spots. I caught the Owl's Head Lookout at a bad time last year and really want to head back as close to peak as possible. New destination is Seyon Pond after seeing Abby's shots.
Thanks!

Re: Revisiting a perfect morning at Job's Pond

Thanks guys

CTYanky - looking forward to shooting Seyon Lake (Groton - right?) this year

WXMAN76 - Seriously! Sky was blue for 10 minutes of the entire 48 hour journey up and back from North Shore of MA.

Utah Baker - Glad it worked. Hoping for an awesome season.

Revisiting a perfect morning at Job's Pond

As the nights start to cool, I have begun to think about Fall and its colors. I decided to go back through last year's images and instantly went to my favorite shot. It was only through the Scenes of Vermont Forums that I even knew about Jobs Pond and, on an early morning (Oct 2nd, 2012 to be precis...

Re: October 6 - Color and changing weather

Looking forward to the Monday report as well...
I feel like I spent all of my good luck at Jobs pond and that the rest of my travels will pale in comparison to that perfect morning. I'm on the fence regarding a trip up Rt 7 from the Deerfield area in MA.

Do you think Rt 100 through the Green Mountains might be better given the elevation?
