Re: Where in Vermont is this fall?

If this can help, this fall was just by the roadside, and there was a small trail leading to a wooden platform, from we could also see it, if I remember well.

Thanks

Where in Vermont is this fall?

This is a picture I've made last year in vermont. It is somewhere near (or on) route 100, National Forest Road 101, and Warren, as per other photographs I've made the same day. Does anyone know exactly where I can find it again?

Thanks

Pierre

Re: PWT 54's last update.

Is the Squirrel's Nest still open? Their phone line seems to have been disconnected. That's too bad, as I really liked this small and inexpensive family restaurant, where everybody (except me) seemed to know everybody.

Any other recommendations between Bristol and Burlington?

Thanks.

Re: PWT 54's last update.

I guess I'll try route 78 tomorrow.

I was also thinking of also trying route 7 from Burlington to Middlebury, then 116 North through Lincoln, and maybe the Lincoln Gap Road, and back to Montreal after dinner at the Squirrel's Nest, in Bristol.

What do you think?

Thanks

Re: Middlebury Area Update 10/11/04

This is how beautiful the area between Warren and Bristol was on Friday, late afternoon.

Re: Northeast ,Vt Foliage update

The Nest, in Bristol, is a simple, but quite good restaurant.

We ate there yesterday night after a beautiful warm and sunny day in Vermont. Everything was good, and service is friendly.

Re: If you are in north/central VT tomorrow, you will LOVE t

I'll probably try this tomorrow, from Stowe.

I've put all the places in my GPS so I should't get lost...

Thanks

I'll finally go to Montpelier, via route 108 through the Smugglers Notch.

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my questions. If I bring a good picture back, I'll post it here.

Re: Where to go, close to Canada?

I don't think I can do both Stannard Mountain Road and the County Road from Montpelier to Woodbury in one day from Montreal. Which do you suggest I drop then? If I choose the Montpelier to Woodbury route, I'll probably go through the Route 108 Smugglers Notch. How nice is it now? Thanks Pierre

Re: Where to go, close to Canada?

Hi, Thanks for this information. I've located these places on a Bicycle Vermont map that I already have. This plus my GPS (with U.S. Topo Maps loaded) should bring me there and back without problems. I'll try these roads tomorrow. If you hear about how they look meanwhile, or if anybody here knows, ...

Where to go, close to Canada?

Hi, I'm from the Montreal area. Last Friday, I went to Hazen Notch, VT. I really like small roads like this, and the colors were beautiful. Tomorrow, I want to go again to Vermont. Where should I go, for colors and small roads, again not too far from Canada, because it's only for a day. This is what...

Let's see if this works. I'm uploading a picture taken in Hazen's Notch yesterday, October 1st.
