Re: Stowe Report 9/30-10/1

pwt54, I am sorry to keep being a pest and bothering you with these repetitive questions? Do you think foliage in Stowe will hang out until Oct 11-15? I am not quite sure how the foliage progresses. After peak do most of the leaves turn brown and fall? Are E. Corinth, Topsham, and Peacham good bets ...

Re: Stowe area October 11-15

Dear bm, pwt54, and all us foliage followers, :( We won't be up there until Wednesday, Oct 11th??? Will we still see nice, pretty foliage or will it be too late? Give it to me straight. I can't believe this year of all years we didn't book Killington but thought Stowe was a better venue for that tim...

Re: Route 12, the Worcester Woods Road

pwt54- What are you predicting for Stowe area Wednesday, Oct 11-Sunday, Oct 15? Please give me some hope for colors. I would love to check out East Corinth and Peacham even tho I am not sure how they will be foliage wise. What do you think? Any insight would be so welcomed. I loved your interview. T...

Re: Stowe area October 11-15

Hollie- We always stayed at Mendon Mountainview Resort for the past 6 years always from Oct 10th or 11th thru 14th or 15th but seemed early for foliage in the majority of years. This year we booked Stowe thinking we would be apt to hit "peak" in that area. I think we might miss it since I hear repor...

I have heard about the Partridge Inn. Plan to have some tasty seafood there. When are you going to be in Stowe?

Re: My itinerary, please advise..

tremint-

Thanks for that great link to truly beautiful foliage pics that might just hold me over until we get up to Stowe Oct 11-15. I hope it is not too late for that area. From these beautiful photos I think I would love to check out East Topsham and East Corinth. Are they far from Stowe?

Hi bm & pwt54- How I envy you being in Vermont right now. bm I can't wait for your post about Stowe. I sure hope we didn't make a mistake by booking Stowe Oct11-15. As I have said before we usually go to Killington but thought Stowe would be interesting change of venue. Our main concern is the folia...

pbpub-

Thank you for showing me these beautiful photos of my beloved Vermont. Mr Kaplan is quite a talented photographer. When a photographer is in love with his subject it makes the photo come alive and exposes the unmistakably beauty of his love for all to see.

Re: Nervous about missing foliage in Stowe Oct 11-15

pwt54, Thanks for the info! I can't wait to get up there. This is the best time of the year. I can't wait to smell those woodburning stoves, wrap myself up in a sweater and walk thru the woods. Have you ever had breakfast at Sugar & Spice in Mendon? That is such a neat place and the pancakes are to ...

Re: Nervous about missing foliage in Stowe Oct 11-15

pwt54- Thanks for your response. If you were staying in Stowe on Oct 11-15 what are some routes and attractions (farmer's markets, quaint villages, etc) that you would recommend. I wish we didn't book in Stowe but stayed w/Killington area. I hate to miss the reds and oranges. Do you think we can sti...

Nervous about missing foliage in Stowe Oct 11-15

Hi all and pwt54- I have been reading the foliage reports and understand the leaves are turning early and fast. We are coming to Stowe on Oct 11th and I am so nervous about missing the foliage. PWT54 what do you think? Last year was a washout and the year before my hubby had colon cancer surgery so ...

Re: Stowe area October 11-15

Good Afternoon pwt54,

Where is Johnson, VT? Boy, do I envy you. Living in paradise! I love autumn and winter. Could certainly do without summer except under the clear Vermont sky and for a couple of short months. We had a brutally hot July. Have you had a frost yet?
