Re: Fall 2022

Cool ctyanky! If you need any help with hiking info let me know. I’ve got 3 sections of the long trail to complete for my done list. We’re in Waitsfield - new vacation home. Stowe is getting ridiculously crowded.

Pickup or shipment? We buy ours from Steve & Robin - Stowe Maple on the rt. 100 just above the Fly Rod Shop. Excellent product, always.

Definitely keep an eye on the weather like you do Colorado Mom - the low clouds can really spoil the elevation vistas of the KH.

Foliage Update - Peak/Near Peak Glover (near 91)

Took a ride to visit our rabbiting friend in West Glover, Route 15 East to Route 16 North and - WOW - awesome colors visible on both sides of 16. Still Hill Road (if you have 4WD), up to Borland Rd is picture perfect fall Vermont! Lots of wildlife as well in this lesser-traveled area. Even the low c...

Great color today - south of 89

Really nice color today in the Huntington valley - west of Camel’s Hump. Check out the Gorge while traveling this route as it’s spectacular. Great views up on the hill east and west at the summit of Camel’s Hump. 42 degrees in Stowe currently, gonna be cold and clear tonite before the rain hits. Enj...

Re: Your favorite cannot miss place to eat

Another add: great, really great Thai food at Thai Smile, just off the I89 exit in Waterbury heading toward Stowe. Leaves are showing a little color on the east side of Mt. Ellen, a few yellows. Muted and dark leaves mostly up here in Stowe. @ctyanky - going to leave VT a bit early due to Dorian (we...

Thank you for the kind words ctyanky! Hen in Burlington @ Hotel VT is closed due to duct fire. Reopening soon. When they do - happy hour oysters at the bar an hour prior to service is not to be missed. The original Waterbury location in the grist mill is spectacular - go go go if you haven’t. Lookin...
