Bolton Valley, Vermont

From the top of Bolton Valley, Vermont

Bolton Valley is about 20 miles south of Burlington. You can easily reach it off I-89 . Use Exit 10 (Waterbury) or Exit 11 (Richmond) from I-89. Then, follow US Rt. 2 west (from Waterbury) or east (from Richmond) eight miles to the Bolton Valley Access Road. The Access Road climbs 2,500 to the ski resort.

BV, as it affectionaltely is named, has had a tough financial time surviving as a relatively small ski resort. Some would say that is a nice reprieve for an area that has remained somewhat undeveloped and therefore more charming and rustic than the more moden areas of Stowe, Sugarbush and Killington.

Aside from the resort hotel, there is virtually no accommodation in the area.
