At least a foot of snow fell on the trails throughout Vermont. The highest snowfall occured in central Vermont with 14-20" reported. The island pond area got almost 20". Conditions will be excellent for sledding this weekend. Because of the the recent arctic cold, the ice on the lakes is several feet thick, but the new snow has resulted in quite a bit of slush, so beware, you could get your machine stuck in this stuff. Stick to the packed trails on the lakes.A warning to those of you who belong to Yahoo Groups
