Had a little time to run into Groton State Forest towards sunset this evening. There is some leaf loss, but still very nice.
It was absolutely still there this evening, which made for some killer reflections. These shots are from a couple of my favorite places in the forest, Marshfield Pond and Kettle Pond. Nice reds around Kettle pond (as usual). I may hike up the Owls Head for sunrise tomorrow.

It was pretty bad around Ricker Pond. We were very discouraged when we drove by (didn't even stop). Glad we kept going though.

Hi Rich: really lovely photos. We were going to go to Owls Head today but plans changed. It is definitely on my list for next year. You always have such nice shots - thanks for posting...

I had hoped to go there yesterday with the "hurricane", but I had to do that tire thing.
