Nice color now in upper elevations of S. VT

Drove around the area today a bit.. color is coming along very nicely and looks better than last year, but perhaps a bit earlier too. About 1/3 to 2/3 of the trees have changed, depending on the particulars. Somerset Road looks very very nice now. The valleys of Brattleboro and Bennington are still mostly green, however. --c

Ah cool! I see it now. Thanks a lot, I have highlighted it in my mapbook and hope I get a chance to drive it.

How far off do you think the valleys there and the Burlington area are from good color? --c

Bm is right about foliage in the valley. But 116 does turn a little earlier. The Natural Turnpike is forest highway 54 and ends at forest highway 59. 59 is a loop so you can turn right or left to get to route 125.
