Updated "Photographing Scenic Vermont" PDF

Post: # 12886Post Andy

I spent another week October, 2010 in Vermont and with the help of PWT, Carol, CT, GIC and others here, I found lots of new great destinations.

I have finally finished my "second edition" of the PDF, which includes all these new places, including some great places in and around Waitsfield, and in the Southeastern part of the state.

Let me know of any interest in a copy.

Andy,

Thank you for sending that to me. I found the commentary on the conditions for each year to be especially amusing I must have been traveling on a nearly an identical schedule for each of those years. I immediately had such a strong set of memories as you discussed each year's conditions. It was a great little time capsule of my own experiences and a great perspective for me to use in going back and assessing my own photos from each year.

I also really liked your contrast between Southwestern Vermont and the North. I don't have any experience with the Northern parts of the state (aside from one short trip to Burlington that was a horrible trip but one with a great long-term effect as it fostered my love of the state) but your description of the feel of my beloved Southwestern section was point perfect with my own.

Thank you for putting this together and so generously sharing it.

Dean

Dean: Thanks. Glad you liked it. More importantly, hope it gives you some insight on some good photographic spots. If you have things to add, let me know. No reason not to make it as comprehensive a guide as possible, especially since it is a "non-profit" venture. I have a lot fun keeping it up, obviously.

Thanks, m. You are very kind.

As I mentioned to Dean - there is no "pride in authorship here" - just a sincere desire to share good sites with other like-minded persons. Since there is no "cost" to publish (other than my "gold-standard" time  ) I am very open to "expanding" it. As you will see from a couple shots by Carol, I am glad to give photo credit. If you have sites (or find sites that are worthy of adding to the PDF, please let me know and if you are willing, give me a photo to add (it will show name and copyright info on the photo), and I will work over the Winter to expand and revise it.

Most of all, I hope you guys get some good shots and see some great foliage and scenery this year. We are about 2 weeks away!

Is there a PDF "Photographing Scenic Vermont" locations document available somewhere here? I'd love a copy.
