Yes, once again, I did not find my moose. They are playing games with me. I assume it is just a tease to draw me back for fall 2011!

Has anyone seen any this season? If so, I would love to hear about it or see a photo. Then I can live vicariously through your pictures!

A couple from another country was at my inn and at breakfast stated that they saw one on highway 17 just around the bend from 100 at Waitsfield around 10:30 a.m. Go figure!

Oh well, there's always next year!

P.S. I have ordered a realllllly cute personalized NJ plate for Phil!

Well, for the last part of the trip we all decided we didn't care if we saw a moose. A little reverse psychology wouldn't hurt!

I have my moose calendar as a momento! That should hold me for another year!

After watching Ctyanky's antics with the piggies in Granville, I shutter to think of what she would do with a moose. I won't go into details because children might be watching. No more bacon for her ! :(

Sorry Phil, I guess you aren't used to anyone singing and talking to farm animals so they come closer for a good photo! :P

It was after we left, that I got somewhat queasy thinking about how they were on my breakfast plate the last few mornings......

We saw a moose in Maine. Followed him along the highway for a couple of miles. That's when the hunter who was hauling it on a trailer turned off the road.

I'd be curious how often the Vermonters on this board see moose. I too feel like I should have seen one by now!

Al: Thanks for sharing that special tid bit on the dead moose. It must be pay back time for my harrassing you in the Twas The Night Before Autumn Ode.

FAX: When I was driving around with Phil, he pointed to every twist and turn in the endless roads we traveled and said, "Oh, I saw a moose there." "Yep, saw one there too." "Saw three there in the swamp." By the time we were done touring this week, he let me know of about 50 or so sightings, maybe more. I'm not sure he was pulling my leg as he does like to tease the hell out of me, but if he says it is so, then it must be.

bm: That's quite a few!

LOL @ Al.

CT, I just spoke with someone who lives up in the mountains who says he saw a moose a couple of days ago. I haven't seen any personally in a number of years.
