Okay, I've seen the forecast for next week and I'm not pleased. Rain, rain, and, uh, rain. So, one more question about Owl''s Head and Kettle Pond. Is the hike from the parking area to Owl's Head mainly on rock surfaces or is it dirt? I hope it's more rocky...don't want to turn into a mud-man making the trek.

Tim, most of the trail is rock but you are likely to find some mud along the way.

It is well worth the effort to go there even if you get into some mud, so long as you don't have fog.
