One Day Trip from Montreal - Help.

Tomorrow (Friday) from Montreal, I want to go to Moss Glen Falls in Granville, on route 100.

1- Can you suggest the best routes to take advantage of Fall Colors on the way and back?

2- Is there a good restaurant in or near Bristol, or somewhere on our way to I-89 where we could dine after doing the Lincoln Gap?

Thanks.

Pierre

I would take I-89 south to exit 18 in Georgia,VT. At the end of the ramp turn left. Go about 1/4 of a mile and turn left onto route 104a. Drive route 104a to the end at route 104 south and turn right. Drive route 104 south to the end at route 15 east and turn left. Drive route 15 east about 3 kilometers to Jeffersonville and trun right onto route 108 south next to the Mobile gas station. Drive route 108 through Smuggler's Notch to route 100 in Stowe and the turn right onto route 100 south. Colors on routes 104a, 104, and 15 are pre-peak but have some bright spots with a lot of red and orange. Colors from Smuggler's Notch to Stowe and on route 100 south are at peak and beautiful. Stop in to the rest area just south of exit 19 on I-89 for a map and coffee.

Pierre: I looked at your gallery. Very nice work. We have just started a Vermont Photography Forum in the Scenes of Vermont Forums. You might want to visit us there -- and please do post some of your work.

Also, if you are willing, share with us the locations for your photos of Vermont.

If it sounds too good to be true, its probably . . . .
