October 9-10 or 12-14?

This forum provides excellent advice!

I am considering two sets of dates for a visit from California to photograph fall foliage: October 9-10 or October 12-14. If you were I, which dates would you choose? The commentary so far suggests that October 9-10 would be the better bet, based on past experience.

Thank you!

There may not be that much difference between the 2 dates. Go for the 9 & 10th first.

I would think it depends on your location.

I would consider the earlier dates - we are in Northern VT and already have some good color about.

We are in Southern Vermont, and both those dates sound pretty good for this area according to years past. By the way, I was born and raised in San Francisco. I love it here, though. Good luck!
