Waterbury: Sept 28-30
My family will be staying in Waterbury at the end of September. Traveling from south of Boston. Can anyone please tell me if the leaves will be colorful at that time? Thank you, I am brand new to this forum!
------------------
SeaSpray: Family vacation planner! Dear SeaSpray,
Yes, in my opinion, you'll be getting here just about when the leaves are acquiring peak color. We were just south of Waterbury yesterday in the Mad River Valley--Waitsfield, Warren--and there's a general amount of color starting at the highest elevations and working its way down, with some bright reds and yellows dotted here and there. By end of September, things should be looking very colorful. This web site and www.foliage-vermont.com have updates and a map of the foliage progression...stay in touch and you'll know the latest. I'll be in Waitsfield again this weekend, so I'll be able to give you more current information closer to your trip. I'd say you've picked one of the two best weekends for the Waterbury area...the other being October 6. Enjoy! Susanne
