How far north to see vibrant color Oct 2-4?
Hi again,
Any new developments today with color?
How far north from Ludlow will we need to drive to see color on these dates?
Do you think Killington will have good color then?
Looking forward to all replies and thanks,
Lisa

From Ludlow boogie on over to I-91 north and drive to exit 23 in Lyndonville and wander around up there. I wouldn't go farther west than route 16.

When I saw the map in the Burlington Free Press I pulled out my "Bible" (Jimmapco Vt. Atlas) and compared them. It looks like anyplace north of Lyndonville and east from route US 5 will be the best this weekend. This includes routes US 5, 114, 5A and 105 between Derby and Island Pond.

And again -- if you can't make it that far north, the higher elevations of route 9 are your best bet. Far more color up here than you'd expect based on how the valleys look. --c
