The Lincoln Gap Road and the Kelly Stand Road are all about the roads. In Stowe there is Mt. Mansfield, Smuggler's Notch and some back roads. One ride I do like there is through Stowe Hollow to Waterbury Center. Take School Street off Main Street in Stowe (it's across from the tall white church). Go about 1/4 mile and bear right on the Stowe Hollow Road. The first part of the road is wooded. Then you come out on a hill looking down on the wide open area of Stowe Hollow. At the bottom of the hill turn right to continue the Stowe Hollow RD. Drive until you see a covered bridge on the right. Check it out and then take the road going up the hill on the left. This is still the Stowe Hollow Road. When you finally come to Waterbury Center you can turn either right or left to get back to route 100.
