I traveled around the Northeastern corner of Connecticut, through Somers, Stafford Springs, Union, Tolland and Ellington. the foliage is somewhat past peak in the higher elevations close to the MA/CT line with some spots having about 25-50% leaf drop. The best Fall color is along Route 190 between Somers and Stafford Springs and also in Tolland and Coventry. I'm out again tomorrow, but the coastal storm forecast for Wednesday is going to really have a big impact on the foliage outside of the valley areas.

The Fall foliage color in my part of Connecticut is gone after the storm. Areas that where colorful on Wednesday are now rust colored. I might chase the foliage down to the shoreline at the end of October, but I'm probably done.

The freeze conditions the last few nights brought out a final burst of color around here.
