A Little Pre-Trip Anxiety/Stress/Excitement? Normal, but I go thru it every year!

Just feeling a bit stressed with the 2 week trip coming up but I'm sure it is mixed in with a lot of excitement! Will the house and yard be ok? Will my precious dog be ok for 2 weeks at the kennel? (She makes me cry when I leave her like a little kid! and then I see her happy on their facebook!) How will my four lodgings turn out? And the weather! Something I have no control over but I do watch the weather sites (3 of them) obsessively hoping that my hiking/horseback riding isn't impacted!

My daughter frets unless I text her every morning and evening when I get back. I haven't even told her about my polo lesson! She just doesn't want me to get hurt hiking up the trails or falling off my horse.

Meeting up with my new friends from the forum and those whom I have been in contact with for many years is really my highlight.

Car is packed, house and yard in order, routes planned, and awaiting that amazing foliage upon my arrival!

Well, I will take one day at a time and enjoy every blissful moment - because.... Vermont's where it's at! And I can't wait to cross that border!

Take a deep breath! The best is yet to come!!!!

Would it make u feel any better if I told you, your not alone with all of those feelings! (my long lost twin) As I'm on my way to see Chicago in concert 2 hours away, I'm asking myself WHAT WERE YOU THINKING Only to get back to go to hair appt, my Mothers 85th bday 2 hours the other direction for a day at the casino (the only thing she wanted for her bday) You got it Mom.....obviously wouldn't miss that for anything My head is spinning as I walked out the door and looked at my suitcase half packed(Its been like that for 2 weeks) There really is nothing more I can do Right?? I HAVE planned for an entire year. Everything is in place, double checked all reservations including airline tics. So I think it's safe to say CT.....We got this!!! We are as prepared as we can be. Now for the fun

P.S. I'm sure your baby will be just fine. That's awesome that u can see pics on Facebook. Makes you feel better to see their little face!

Hey Colorado, thanks for the warm support! I actually got to the kennel way up at the Mass border and they asked where her medicine and updated medical history sheet was. I said, ummm, Back tomorrow morning before I head up to VT. I can't believe I forgot the most important stuff! Then my pooch took off like a mad dog chasing the owner's horses as they walked around the outside of the kennel area. The dogs can't stand the big horses and go crazy. I think she didn't even realize I was leaving! I am decompressing right now! See you soon in foliage heaven! CT

Omg......sorry that happened to you CT. It's a new day.....at least it sounds like she is going to be happy there and wasn't upset you were going to leave. Now think positive things....from the sounds of it you are getting ready to see some fantastic colors!! Enjoy
