Rain in the south?

Post: # 1525Post admin

Just spoke to someone in Lebanon (around noon on Tuesday). They said it was raining hard and some of the leaves were falling off the trees. Would be interested to know what people are seeing in southern and central Vermont? Is the rain doing much harm? Here in the Kingdom we are at peak and although it is cloudy there is no rain and all the leaves are still on the trees!

It has been raining here all day. But there has been almost no wind and I have not noticed any significant leaf-fall as a result.

The front is nearly stationary now from Binghamton to about Lebanon and the rain should stay south of that line and slowly move east. You should not get any rain up there in the NEK from this (which is related to the remnants of Jeanne!) By midnight it should exit the area and the next three-four days should be nice (but cool.)

Looking forward to seeing the NEK for the first time tomorrow! --c
