Hi Bid! I've been on 8 of the 10 lift rides in Vermont and I can help. My favorite is next weekend at the Mad River Glen on 17. These are single open chair lift rides! Next weekend is their green and gold weekend! I made a list a couple of years back and I'll try to find the link. The Jay Peak Tram is awesome and so is the Stowe Gondola. Mt. Snow Bluebird Express is my second favorite!!!!!!!!!!!! At the summit, the views of Somerset Reservoir are simply outstanding and you can hike all over the top with more views of the reservoir. I've done Stratton as well and there is a fire tower to hike (I hope it is the one) to the top and it crosses with the AT. Killington Gondola is also superb and you can hike to the summit for views that rival Jay Peak. Let me know if you need any more info, I've only done VT. Enjoy!!!!!!

Here is a very old post I made in 2011 updating 2010. Not sure the links are all working but you get the idea. I haven't gone on the Burke lift ride but I think there are 2 more that I haven't remembered yet!

bid: I just remembered something. Please call ahead to see if the mountains are still running the lift, trams or gondolas. Some shut down after Columbus Day Weekend (not all) until ski season.

I also remembered that I just took the lift ride up Bromley two weekends ago and it was gorgeous at the top. I think they run longer into the season because of the Adventure Park there.

Enjoy!!! :D

Texas: you should go up there if you are around then. It is quite an experience especially on a clear day. Have a great time! CT
