Killington today

Postby triz » Sat Oct 14, 2017 7:16 pm

We spent half a day in he Killington area today. Overall it was really good. In Killington peak was probably 2-3 days ago but colors were still nice. Lots of oranges and still some reds.
But the highlight of the day was the Lefferts pond: it was at peak, brilliant reds and oranges everywhere, not a single green tree.
Also the Chittended reservoir had good colors but not as good.
I hope I will be able to post some pictures once I get back to Philly.
On the other hand, in Woodstock and surroundings foliage is not good. Little to no color .
Overall in the Valleys of South Vermont the foliage hasn't show up and the local people think it won't show up at all!

Glad that Killington color held on for you!! Lefferts Pond is beautiful and changed very late this year. Looking forward to seeing your photos.
