Loon at Bald Hill Pond

This year I ended up going too early to the Northeast Kingdom. I was there from 10/2 to 10/4 and everything was either green or brown. Strange progression of foliage this year for sure. The Northeast Kingdom is very beautiful however, and I hope to return next year with better foliage conditions.

However, I did manage to capture a loon in Bald Hill Pond just after sunrise with some nice mist on the water.

A beautiful shot Ed. Thanks for sharing it. Sorry about your short lived VT trek. You'll be back next year I'm sure. I saw a loon last year and then bought a hand carved loon at a craft fair which is now on my living room mantel! CT
