Hello everyone. I took a day trip up to Cabot, VT on Sunday 10/1 to check out the foliage. I was not expecting much color due to various reports here and elsewhere. I had the urge to scout out the area anyways for photo opportunities either now or in the future. No waste of time I figured
Well I drove around for about 2 hours through the back roads of Cabot and took some pics. I attached a few to share to show the muted colors and what looks like early stages for certain tree species. I'm hoping for a surge in the week to come in time for a possible Columbus Day weekend trip up to that area again. BRING ON THE COLOR!

Hi Mark!!!! Glad you got to come up for the day. I'm sure you will find your color somewhere Columbus Day Weekend or thereafter. I'm headed to the Peacham Fall Festival on Thursday as now the forecast for showers has turned into just cloudy.....

Hey, I lost your home email. Can you send me an email to my home account that you have when we were figuring out our CT tour? Perhaps we can do another Connecticut foliage tour north of where we were last fall or I can meet you in the Quiet Corner (NE CT) which I think is closer for you. We didn't do north of Norfolk into Canaan and up around 44 in NW CT.

I'm in Middlebury all Columbus Day Weekend for a couple of horse shows and perhaps a cruise on Lake Champlain on the Spirit of the Ethan Allen. Still trying to organize the hike into Taconic Rambles State Park!!!

Have a great fall adventure into Vermont! I'm headed to Lewis Pond soon with Phil and will enjoy the ride no matter what we find! Very excited! CT
