Northeast Kingdom Fall Foliage Festival 2017

Postby ctyanky » Tue Aug 08, 2017 7:40 pm

ANNUAL NORTHEAST KINGDOM FALL FOLIAGE FESTIVAL 2017

Seven festivals in seven days, each in a different town. Each has something unique to offer, including music, crafts, farmers' markets, parades, tours, history and great food! Specialty church suppers each night. I think it is totally amazing that the seven towns in the NEK put on such a grand succession of festivals! I have been to all of them except Cabot and Plainfield, and the more recently added town of Marshfield. Keep in mind, one of our SOV meetups is scheduled to be in Peacham at their fall festival on Thursday, 10/5 (weather permitting!) If you are up in Vermont for these days, please be sure to check them out. You will be so glad you did! If you choose Groton and want to do the chicken pie supper you have to have reservations and they sell out in no time. We had such a great time at the dinner seated at these long tables and enjoyed all the locals who were seated with us. Barnet is awesome and Peacham is peachy sweet! I was hoping to get to the Cabot event because they are leading a hike to Nichols Ledge. The itinerary is basically bulging at this point, so will keep it on the back burner for now. Enjoy! :D

Please note, Tim (Admin) just added these NEK events to the list on his link to foliage-Vermont which is at the top of the foliage forum as a sticky.

Good morning from beautiful Vermont! Don't forget that all the Northeast Kingdom Fall Foliage Festivals start tomorrow! Descriptions below. Also today, to kickoff the NEK festivals, is the wonderful Autumn on the Green Craft Fair in Danville, which continues to top my list as one of the most organized, local vendor craft fairs in Vermont! Food is local and delicious!

http://www.autumnonthegreen.org/

Enjoy the splendid craft fairs throughout Vermont as you enjoy the surrounding fall colors! A perfect way to buy gifts for family and friends who also love Vermont! And most of all, it is a way to support the local vendors who attend all these fairs. :D
