Charlotte & Shelburne 10/9/2016

The color is really starting to come along now in the Champlain Valley just south of Burlington. I would say we are midway to peak and anytime over the next week or so should be great.
Roads to take: Spear Street. Mt. Philo Road (and go to the top of Mt. Philo!). Lewis Creek Road , Roscoe Road, Prindle Road, Baldwin Road (in HInesburg).

With colder temps tonight when do you think best? Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday, thinking about hopping ferry, back and forth. Don't laugh I'm not sure if we can just looking at map. Would love to see colors on lake.

I would give it a couple more days. Maybe after the cold tonight the colors will really pop!
Take the Charlotte/Essex ferry. Park your car on the VT side (there will be a small lot on your right just before you get to the ferry landing) Normally I would suggest having lunch in Essex but most places shutter up over there Labor Day weekend. It is a cute little town. I would suggest walking off the ferry when you get over to Essex and walk around and take a different ferry back. If you want a couple suggestions on where to walk in Essex let me know.
