Peak Conditions At Jay Peak

I did a day trip up to Jay Peak yesterday and avoided the strong temptation to drive to the Killington region, which I have been to so many times before for foliage. I have never been to the Jay/Stowe area for fall foliage and it was well worth the trip.

Routes traveled where: I-91, Route 5, Route 101, Route 100, Route 242, Route 58, Route 118 and I-89. The foliage is at peak in the CRV on I91 from St. Johnsbury on north. Foliage is near or at peak around Jay Peak and southbound through Stowe and on I-89 southbound to near White River Junction. So far leaf loss is minimal and the primary color is red.
