Photos from my trip

Wanted to share some of the photos from my trip. A lot of the photos are from areas other than Vermont. This was a road trip for me. Unfortunately having to leave Vermont, just as the colors were getting good. I still have a lot of photos to put up and there are no descriptions yet, but I'm sure most will be very recognizable.

Thank you all for the nice compliments.

Carol,
I believe the photo you are referring to was taken in Adamant.

I'll try to add descriptions soon.

KC: Your photos are gorgeous! Lots of color indeed. I enjoyed each and every one of them!

Just an FYI, bhavjen and I never made the Nichols Ledge Hike that I signed up for and really anticipated for quite a long time. It was pouring that day and I had to cancel and he was sick! I was very disappointed. Maybe some day! :)

I intended to try Nichols Ledge again this year. But the color was so late, I had to leave before it really got going. I was hoping to take some time lapse as the fog cleared and revealed the ponds. I did the short hike up to Owl's Head which was also very green. That day it really rained, I stopped at Big Falls near North Troy. The falls were huge and muddy.

kc: I was just looking at your photos again. They really are so beautiful. Carol is taking me to a pond in Concord, VT but it is not the same one as you have in the portfolio.

Are you coming up this season and are you going to try to hike Nichols Ledge again?

Yes,
I'll be in New England from 10/02 - 10/12. I'll probably be in New Hampshire early and Vermont the last week.
I definitely want to do Nichol's Ledge again. Early morning is perfect, before the wind picks up and ruins the reflections. This spot is fairly easy to get to. Only about a 15 minute hike from the parking area. The first part of the trail can be muddy if there has been much rain the days before.
The parking area and the ledge can both be seen easily from google maps. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/44.4578 ... m2!4m1!3e2

I have posted many of my photos to google maps as well.

I did the hike to Nichol's Ledge again yesterday. Color is great right now. The lakes and valleys were filled with fog until about 8:00AM. It's fun to watch as the fog dissipates from each lake, revealing more of the view.

KC: you are now getting the best of the best compared to when you had to leave last year when the colors were just starting to ramp up! Glad you got Nichols Ledge in! On my bucket list once again for next year! Looking forward to your photos once you get back home!
