Bad foliage year???

Bad foliage year???

Hello! I'm all packed and ready to leave tomorrow for my first trip to Vermont, New Hampshire and Eastern Townships (coming from Los Angeles). Now I'm getting cold feet! Is this a bad foliage year? For many years, my dream has been to experience beautiful New England fall foliage. But I'm reading some reports of leaves going from green to brown. I'd hate to cancel the trip at this point but...I don't know what to think. Any insights into this?

From everything I saw today it's late, but it's coming! Should be nice mid to end of week

Yes, it is late. But, it is developing well, and there is very little leaf drop.

This definitely not a bad foliage year, but it is running about two weeks late. Northeastern VT which always leads the color is only now just coming on. There's been very little leaf fall so far, and if the weather cooperates there will be at least two to three weeks of color viewing in Vermont
