Yankee Magazine Prediction this year: A Patchy Fall

Yankee Magazine writer just came out with an article for this coming Fall--Causes of concern were the very dry Spring up until June, and the warm September but the good news plenty of rain otherwise in the summer in June especially--
If one looks at last years low temps in Killington, for example, from Sept 7th to Sept 19th, you'll see there's quite a big difference from this year's forecast--In other words, the heat is on--low temps at night are more important than high temperatures in the daytime--but some morning lows in Killington are forecast to be 15 to 20 degrees warmer compared to last year, which was colder than average(and Killington had lotsa red trees last year)--Global Warming?

for more info and the complete article just Google the title of this thread--Fox news, quoting Jim Saige, foliage expert at Yankee Magazine

Every year there are predictions like this and while we might have to bow to the lofty status of Yankee magazine and it's golden opinions, I doubt that they or anyone else really knows. Anyway, the foliage color in the Northeast Kingdom is something you forgot to mention. It is always pretty good.
